You can join Tyndall if you qualify in one of several ways. You may be eligible if you: Live, work, worship, go to school, or volunteer in Florida’s Panhandle or Southern Alabama or meet other qualifying criteria.
You may be eligible for membership if you are employed by, or retired from, one of the companies or organizations we serve. These are known as Select Employee Groups (SEGs).
If someone in your family or household is already a Tyndall member, you may be able to join too. Eligibility extends to immediate family members—such as your spouse, parent, child, brother, sister, grandparent, grandchild — as well as anyone living in the same household as a current member.
You may qualify for membership if you are an active duty or retired military member who is stationed at, working at, has received orders to, or is using services at Tyndall Air Force Base, FL. You also qualify for membership if you are a civil service employee or a government contractor at Tyndall.
Each credit union member is an owner and shareholder. Membership means fewer fees, better loan and savings rates, easier access to credit, and more personalized service.

*In the majority of the zip code areas of Bay County, FL, all of the census tracts qualify as "Underserved," so we can use the larger zip code area for qualification purposes (those listed above). However, a few of the Bay County zip code areas, some of the Okaloosa County, FL, zip code areas, and some of the Houston County, AL, zip code areas do not qualify as a whole. Therefore, we have made available a list of the census tracts in those zip code areas that do qualify for membership. Potential members may qualify for membership based on where they live, work, worship, or attend school in certain geographical areas of Florida and Alabama. These "Underserved Areas," which are included in Tyndall's Field of Membership, are defined by NCUA (the National Credit Union Administration) and are outlined in the credit union's charter. The Underserved Areas are defined by census tract and NCUA has specific guidelines that determine which census tracts are considered "Underserved."

You may qualify for membership if you are employed by, or are retired from, any of the employers (Select Employee Groups) we serve, or if you belong to one of the groups/organizations we serve.
One of the most common ways to qualify for membership is through your employer. Select Employee Groups (SEGs) are companies that have selected Tyndall as their primary financial services resource and want to extend Tyndall financial services to their employees. A SEG is an employer-Credit Union relationship that ensures member eligibility for its employees at no cost.
Businesses and organizations in our Field of Membership are local to the communities we serve. Unless otherwise stated, qualification for membership applies to employees who are paid from or are supervised from Panama City or Panama City Beach, FL.
